"Oni" are a type of demon from Japan folklore and are mostly known for their fierce and evil nature. However, Oni possess intriguingly complex aspects that cannot be brushed away simply as "evil". Oni also make a fairly common appearance in Japanese anime, where my obsession was officially born...
That being said, I naturally had to make this wood Oni mask design since Oni are a part of the namesake of my shop!
- Original design by Rituals of an Oni
- 8 x 5in
- Material: Walnut wood
- Hand painted with watercolor paint (check out the gold shimmer!)
- Hangs securely from sawtooth hanger on the back (Be aware that the hanger is secured to the piece with a strong epoxy, as the wood is not thick enough for nails/screws)
Remember that these are a handmade product, so slight variations should be expected! Please keep your oni mask clean, dry, and don't leave in direct sun for a long period to preserve its lifespan ♡
